As people grow, they change. Their thinking levels up and become matured when criticizing. As years coming by, people increase their learning.
As i was surfing the net, i found this mysterious article that caught my attention. An illusion.
Illusion is a false mental image or misinterpretation of a real appearance. An unrealistic attitudes that people have towards to people that are close to them.It is imagined by a particular person. It may not be harmful and may be pleasing. Illusion maintain self-esteem or discomfort at least int the short term. There are potential risks of illusion that affects human behavior:
- They might set themselves up for unpleasant surprises for which they are ill-prepared when their overly optimistic beliefs are dis confirmed.
- People who hold positive illusions will set goal or undertake courses of actions which are more likely to produce failure than success.
Diminishing positive illusions has the nature of depression. People who are in low-esteem are more balanced in self- perceptions. Findings may not be adequate people who are depressed have less illusions than non depressed people. People believe they have no control in situations and facts.
As Allan et al. proposed, it might be that the pessimistic bias of depressives results in "depressive realism".
